    Round 5 Discussion and Trades

Trade 1: I'd do D Smith->Boak. Smith hasn't been playing, or scoring, well and his being "managed" make me wonder if there isn't something wrong. Boak is unlikely to keep scoring at his current rate but if he stays a permanent mid he should score well enough. He has averaged 106 as a mid before...

    Round 5 Discussion and Trades

Is that actually confirmed? Last I heard he will decide on Thursday whether to have an operation.

    Round 5 Discussion and Trades

Not me. Butters has had the one poor score but the other three have been OK.

    Round 5 Discussion and Trades

atm my team is holding it's own but that's about all. Trading Darling->Marshall was a qualified success - Darling score 90SC - but looking good for the long-term. No obvious trades this week. Of my rookies only Parker is a possibility with a 46BE but there are no suitable fwd downgrade targets...

    Round 4 Discussion and Trades

Noticed that Eddy McGuire will be seen but not heard on WA TV's coverage of the derby this week-end. Last year, McGuire was voted least popular footy commentator in a poll conducted by WA's channel 7. Despite this the 7 network still decided to send McGuire to cover the derby - for the first...

    Round 4 Discussion and Trades

Not a trade I'd make for the reasons cited in my post above. In short: is one trade worth 60-70 points?

    Round 4 Discussion and Trades

Opinion seems to be divided on this but if it were me I'd keep Fyfe. Yes, he will be missing at least this week but I see that as a bonus in that he will (probably) come back fully recovered. If he does so he will score much the same as Neale/Macrae. So you are using a trade for the points...

    Round 4 Discussion and Trades

I wouldn't make that trade. We only have 30 and they are too precious to use up unnecessarily. On the outs: B Smith has a 44BE and will make more money. Goldstein has had the one poor score but is there a reason to think his overall scoring will drop off? On the ins: Mumford is almost 33 and...

    Round 4 Discussion and Trades

Not for me. The money value in such a trade just doesn't add up. Burgess is scoring poorly but even if he keeps averaging only 44 is likely to be around $220,000 by his bye, making $70,000. Rozee had a very good week but how likely is it that he will do that again? The best rookies tend to peak...

    Round 4 Discussion and Trades

I wouldn't do the Crisp trade. Sure he's had the one bad game but a week ago he had a very good one. If he doesn't end up top-8 he will be close. He was ranked #7 last year.

    Round 4 Discussion and Trades

I'm happy enough with most of my team. I don't have Lloyd, Neale, Libba or Boak but it's not worth losing cash-making rookies while trying to get them in. My only problem child is Darling. I was going to hold him but if R Marshall is selected as sole ruck again I will probably bring him in for...

    Round 3 Discussion and Trades

Yeah, far too early to tell. But as someone who kept Heeney today was pleasing.

    Round 3 Discussion and Trades

I think Billings will average 90-95. He's playing wing-outside mid rather than inside-mid. He doesn't get many CPs or tackles. If I started him I would hold but I won't be bringing him in.

    Round 3 Discussion and Trades

With 8 days between Swans games I'm hoping it is enough time for Heeney's ankle to recover. And they are playing Carlton which might help. Although the ground surface at Docklands might stuff the ankle up right proper.

    Round 3 Discussion and Trades

As Gawn's BE is 198 and English's is 56 surely you can wait a week or two? If Gawn scores his predicted 108 he will drop around $40K.

    Round 3 Discussion and Trades

Thought it was time for a rnd.3 thread. I see some have already posted but in the rnd.2 thread, No trades for me unless all of Ridley, Hore and Balta are absent.

    Draft league?

@Mike It definitely helps to have a perma "c" available. I thought my team was a bit thin in places but some of the lesser lights are surprising me: Rich is back in form; Aliir is fulfilling his promise; LD-U looked very good today. Some time later: Wow. A 1,492 score. Wasn't expecting that.

    Draft league?

Never doubted. I've got him in every team possible. But I was hoping for an average score so that more would jump off him. He's still in 50% of SC teams but around 1,300 jumped off after rnd.1.
