    Round 17 Trades

Your other option might be to get a Hammelmann type for McDonald, then Gaz to anyone. Hammelmann won't be a great scorer but you make some cash and it gives you a lot of flexibility with Tippa covering both lines.

    Injuries/Late outs

Feel sorry for anyone who traded him in last night after teams were announced. Bartel and Laird out. Collins and Joyce on field. Hilarity will ensue.

He scored 126 when the Pies smacked Freo. It means the ball is down there a lot. I hope!a

Yep. Wells too. Could really use another Sam Collins ton this week.

Hearing Bartel hasn't travelled to Perth. It begins.

Nup. I like it. Provided you don't have too many more injuries then it's a good move. You can't rely on that bench mid cover so you need to make sure your points on field are maxed out. You don't have Wells or Barlow to worry about either so those 2 moves are pretty solid and definitely worth doing.

    Round 17 Trades

Smith is playing Dahls role for now but I don't see him being dropped if and when Dahl comes back. A solid 75-80 DPP bench player for the last 7 weeks is worth every bit of 240k.

    The Gaz predicament........

I'm feeling the same way about Neale! Most midfields will now have at least 6 or 7 common players I reckon.

    The Gaz predicament........

Ok ignore all that. Confirmed on GC Twitter that he will have surgery and miss the rest of the year. Welcome to the Awesomeness Bont!

    The Gaz predicament........

I haven't seen anything official but apparently Gaz is "hopeful" of being back in 2-3 weeks. My thinking : if you need league wins or are focussed on overall, trade. If you're comfortable in leagues or have 4 or less trades, hold. I think I'll trade. Keeping one up my sleeve for Wells too.

Seems to be the way. I traded Adams this week so when he comes back next week he will average 100.

    Injuries/Late outs

Libba has no internal damage and it's just bruised ribs. Could possibly even play this weekend. Given they play in Cairns it's probably more likely he will miss one and then come back.

That's incredibly stiff. Hopefully they've got Libba and Gaz too.

I've seen enough. Barring injury, Trengrove to Clay Smith is a lock for me next week.

    Round 16 discussion

With a 135 vc, you might make 20-25 points, or lose 50. The only way I wouldn't take it is if I was going for league wins, the match was close but I was behind and that extra 20 points would make a difference.

Gaz v Robbo. Pendles v 10 goal smashing. Bank Danger every day of the week.

    Round 16 discussion

My Catters frustrate the hell out of me and were absolutely disgraceful but how good was tonight for Kieran Jack? Had him in my team a fair bit over the years, seems to be one of the most legitimately decent blokes of the league. Wish it hadn't been against my side but great to see him get...

    Rookies 2016

He still might. Bombers made 6 changes and he's still not in the 22. Named as emergency.

    Rookies 2016

198k is bloody steep. With a full team, 6 trades left, I'm seriously tempted to shore up my bench cover over the next couple of weeks if these kids look ok. Francis at D8, Clay Smith at M10 With MPP links already set up across all lines gives so much depth and flexibility.

    Final teams......

Me too. If he has anything over 70ish then I'm strongly considering him for Trengove, even Phillips or Lee if they're still out.
