    2020 Begins

@Happyracoon would argue that his improvement last year was better than it looked because of the injury affected game (26), so that's worth keeping in mind. Have to remember as well that improvement isn't linear (think I have the correct term) and we can sometimes see spikes (which I suppose the...

I reckon there's lots to like.... this is his 5th year in the system. He'll play on the ball but can be selected as a forward. He was a high (5) draft pick (Clayton Oliver went at 4). Price is affected by a 26 in round 20 last year (was at that game but can't remember what happened to him)...

If I get even half a sniff that he might play a fantasy-friendly role then I’ll be all over him.

I'm with you mate. Plus I just love watching the way he plays his footy. I love the 'pure' footballers. Not much athletic ability about them, just great footy players.

    2020 Begins

The most glaring thing is the lines/positions players can be chosen on....... IMO it should reflect the position players play this year, not last year.

Gee I wish SC could do the same. Their lack of willingness to do anything innovative is weird. Except for increasing the number of trades, I'm not sure what's changed in the 10 or more years I've played.

Yeah I'm thinking I'll start him too, but you can see their thinking. Plus, his durability can't be understated.

    2020 Begins

I reckon you’ll find he followed up with at least 4 consecutive sub-100s in both those seasons, meaning he could be picked up (a lot) cheaper later. Then the really slow start in 2019... I guess their thinking is, you’ll probably be able to pick him up cheaper if you wait.

I’d keep Cripps personally. We know that last year wasn’t ‘one out of the box’ for Cripps, but we can’t say that 100% about Dunkley yet. Also worry he might be played a bit closer to goal. I’m happy to wait and see and upgrade to him if necessary.

    2020 Begins

Great little player who obviously benefitted massively from switching clubs. Personally don’t see him averaging better than say 102-104ppg which doesn’t quite have him in premium grade. It might be my opinion only, but the depth of Uber talent in the midfield is large, and I’m happy to fork...

Bit of chat on twitter about how Dusty is usually a slow starter and therefore might be an upgrade target. @TwentyThree I tagged you in it.

    2020 Begins

How's everyone feeling about Dusty this year? At 543k it's the cheapest he's been in years. Fwd/mid flex. Turns 29 half way through the season. The chances of him playing 20+ games and finishing in the top 6 forwards seem pretty good. Including finals he hit the tonne 7 out of his last 8 matches...

    2020 Begins

After watching him live last year, I don’t think he has the natural & necessary physical attributes to run through the midfield all day. Footywire says he’s 186cm and 96kgs. I see him as a burst player. Can do magnificent and mercurial things, but I can’t see him getting enough 110+ to...

Couple points on Whitfield..... His PF and GF scores were 46 and 68. Been building beautifully the last 5 years: 2015: 78ppg 2016: 81 2017: 98 2018: 100 2019: 111 Personally I don’t think he’s the amazing buy he was last year, but the fact he’s available as a forward, plays for GWS and is...

Round 1 - Discussion and Trade Talk

How'd you end up mate? There's no way those two will do as badly in round 2..... they're both proud players.

    Rucks

But what if you’re losing 20 to 50 points on another other line because you have less to spend? I agree they’re the best two rucks, but they are priced accordingly.
