    Round 9 Discussion & Trades

My ranking: Oliver, Kelly, Sloane, Mundy. Oliver: $568,000; 66BE - his basic stat.s have been good but his DE% poor until the last couple of weeks J Kelly: $594,500; 83BE - should score well when he plays but he's already missed games through injury so can you trust him to play? Sloane...

    Round 9 Discussion & Trades

I only need ROB to last past rnd.13 when G and G have their byes. That's 5 more weeks. Given Jacobs is returning from injury, and ROB is performing well, I would expect Jacobs to spend at least a week in the SANFL maybe more. In fact, given how well ROB is performing and how poor Jacobs has been...

    Round 9 Discussion & Trades

I think it's worth keeping ROB until post-bye. He played the tag team of Ryder and Lycett. It's Walsh I'm now thinking of moving on, contrary to previous postings. He's averaged 80 in his past three, has a 101BE and plays GWS next. He may come good again, he may not. I don't know. But if I...

    Round 8 Discussion and Trades

That was before team sheets. Whitfield and Ridley out led me to trade Ridley and keep Clark. Still traded Butters, though.

    Round 8 Discussion and Trades

Butters: 57av., 72BE. Looks to have run out of steam with only one score 50+ in last four. Dropped even though Wines and Ebert injured. Petrucelle: 56.6av. 59BE. His 100 inflates his average as his only score above 60 in seven games. Gibbons/Clark: a toss-up as both with BEs around their av.s...

    Round 8 Discussion and Trades

Who knows? The injury report on the GWS web-site said that he looked "likely" for this week but would have to get through training today. Obviously he didn't. You'd think that if it was just a corky then he would return next week. Unfortunately for those who have him, I seem to remember other...

    Round 8 Discussion and Trades

I don't have Collins so not an issue with me. Butters definitely goes as he has a 72BE but a 57 av. Collins v Clark is almost a toss-up but I'd probably trade Clark first. Both have BE equal to the av.s. but Collins is scoring better. Collins has better JS as Clark missed rnd.6 when Tuohy...

    Round 8 Discussion and Trades

You've got a few rookies ready to trade: Collins, Clark and Butters. I'm in a similar position and doubling down. The cash gained is too good to ignore and it's time to move some rookies on. For me it's Clark and Butters.

    Round 8 Discussion and Trades

    It sounds like most people are looking at a double down-grade this week. But to whom? The most likely prospects: Joyce,D: $123,900 - 60 and 67, StKilda def Answerth,N: $117,300 - 69 and 72, Brisbane D/M Hately,J: $148,800 - 95 and 85, GWS mid Larkey,N: $123,900 - 75 and 40, North fwd...

    Round 7 discussion & trades

I toyed with the idea of trading Whitfield and decided it wasn't worth it. Whitfield is projected to lose about $70K and drop to a low of $505,000 if he scores around his average in his next two games. Given he returns for rnd.8 he plays Hawthorn, Carlton, Melbourne and GC in his next four. Is...

    Round 7 discussion & trades

Geary's injury required 3 surgeries, 30 stitches and 5 days with an open wound to help the blood drain. This is what the leg looked like for those 5 days:

    Draft league?

Not for my Roundheads. I'm not tanking but I'm more interested in a team for future years.

    Round 7 discussion & trades

@Dunny29 I'm in the same position: no rookies worth culling and only Hayes at all enticing. So I'm holding my trades and hoping, really hoping, that I don't fall too far behind.

    Round 6 Trades.

When Ed Langdon is getting a hole-in-one on a 292m par four - the gods are on his side. Get him.

    Round 6 Trades.

@Orallus_Maximus I forgot about both Duryea and Suckling being out injured. That does make Daniel a better pick. @J-Dog I think one of the better sights on a footy field is Caleb Daniel doing his best to spoil a forward who is 25+cm taller than him. it's amazing how often he succeeds. If he...

    Round 6 Trades.

Daniel does look like being top-6: he covers a lot of ground, gets a lot of possies and takes almost all the kick-ins. Two thoughts: do you believe that Beveridge won't change his role? do you need to make the trade this week? He is playing Freo in Perth. With an 85BE he is projected to score...

    Round 6 Trades.

I'd hold him for now. He's not losing any money and if Melbourne turn things around his scoring will improve. I'm in a somewhat similar situation with Oliver - although only somewhat because Oliver has lost $60,000 - and I'm holding.

    Round 6 Trades.

I think Butters could add another $75,000 and reach about $325,000. With a rnd.12 bye I'm thinking of keeping him through the byes.

    Round 6 Trades.

@deadoralive Might I suggest R Henderson as a left field option for Sheed? Costs about $100K but averaging 115.6. Yes, he's never done this before but I don't think it's a temporary aberration. He's averaging 27 possies at 77%DE with 7.8 marks a game. On Walsh: I have absolutely no thought of...

    Draft league?

I picked up Harry McKay with long-term aims. Didn't think he would pay off at all this year but he's having a pretty good game today.
