    Round 16 Discussion and Trades

I'm waiting as long as I can before deciding. It depends upon how Chol scores: any decent score and Lycett moves to the rucks; any poor score and I'm hoping Gawn plays. As Port doesn't play until 4.35 AEST I should have some idea of Chol's score even if it isn't his final score. fwiw I don't...

    Round 16 Discussion and Trades

I find it hard enough to decide on my own trades but I'll have a shot. In answer to your specific question: I'm not a big fan of trading in either Dusty or Rocky. Rocky's injury history is poor and his DT:SC ratio no better. Dusty has been spending a lot of time in the mids but it hasn't...

@Prospector Are you interested? It can be fun. Gives you someone to barrack for. @Lowrider I may be wrong but I seem to remember you expressing an interest before - last year? the year before? Interested this year?

I've joined the league. @doddy2731 Are you interested in it this year? I like the format. The different categories are good: 2 x captain, 2 x sprinter, 2 x climber, 2 x youth, 4 x support, 1 x "tempo" (sort of a wild card) and 1 x manager (best team). The 25 trades, at any time, mean you don't...

I think I'll have a stab at it. I haven't followed the cycling much this year so there'll be a lot of guesswork. I'm in - team Cavalier Roundhead.

    Round 16 Discussion and Trades

I don't think so. His injury history in recent years suggests he won't necessarily make it through to the end of the season. He might, but is it worth the risk?

    Round 16 Discussion and Trades

I had a good week largely due to a few of my PODs scoring well: Lycett "c", Cunnington and Ziebell. The big issue for rnd.16 might be the status of Gawn - how injured is he? will he play? According to Goodwin he should be OK but who knows? I brought in Lycett for just such a situation but I'm a...

    Round 15 Discussion and Trades

Ah, I understand. Sorry I miss-read your original. I'm hoping for full premium with 3 left. And I'm hoping that's enough to cover injuries.

Tough luck. Given Danger's history against the Crows he looked a good choice.

    Round 15 Discussion and Trades

That's tough. Do you really have only the 2 trades left? If so, I reckon you need to save them for injury to premiums. There is sure to be at least 1 x LTI in the 9 rounds remaining.

    Round 15 Discussion and Trades

I wouldn't think so. I'm not. Trades are limited and unless Cripps misses a lot of games it's not worth it. Cripps is currently #3 mid on average and has a 74BE. He's probably going to rise in price immediately he returns. What do you gain? $73,400 and 3 weeks, maybe, of a premium scoring...

    Round 15 Discussion and Trades

Yep. I think I'll bring him in. My mid bench would be: Clarke, Baker and Hately. If Hately doesn't play I should still have coverage. If he does play his projected price increases make it worth it: rnd.15 -> $230,400; rnd.16 ->$288,000; rnd.17 ->$332,000. Hind is cheaper and probably has...

    Round 15 Discussion and Trades

    Smith has a poor record v the Cats. His most recent: 2019: 68; 2018: NA; 2017: 80, 60; 2016: 78, 22 (Inj?); 2015: 43

    Round 15 Discussion and Trades

I'd recommend avoiding Bont. He seems to be the one WB player to be tagged if any is and that affects his upside. As for Parker v Sloane. I think that Parker will probably score better as he is the main Sydney mid where Sloane is just one of a few, But Parker at $632,300 is very pricey. I'm...

    Round 15 Discussion and Trades

Who knows? I see May as a key defender who can intercept/link whereas Hore is more a 3rd-man-up who can intercept/link. So in theory May's return could feasibly help Hore. It didn't on the week-end, though. If anything it helped Frost who took a few intercept marks and had 12 intercepts in total.

    Round 15 Discussion and Trades

That's a tough one. I'm glad I don't have either so It's not a decision I have to make. Hore's recent scoring has been better than Smith's even taking his 49 into account. The question is: was that 49 a blip or the start of something? As a general rule I'd suggest you trade the rookie and keep...

    Round 15 Discussion and Trades

I brought Logue in last week. I needed the cash and with Pearce out for the season his JS looks assured. His scoring is a nice bonus. I've no idea if he can keep it up but he does things CD likes: CPs - 10, 10; DE% - 66.7, 88.2; CMs - 2,2; intercepts - 12, 13 If he can keep it up, a big if...

    Round 15 Discussion and Trades

Good-by to the byes and hello to the run home. I hope everyone emerged relatively unscathed and with an (almost) upgraded team full of premiums. My team is still two back premiums short as I'm planning to bring in Hurn and Whitfield when their prices have dropped. Both have large BEs so it might...

    Round 14 Discussion and Trades

I did and I'm very glad I did. Two of my rookies have done well by me this week: Logue with 103 and Begley with 95. After missing on all the good scores from Hore and the Richmond rookies I thought it was about time things turned my way a little. @Orallus_Maximus - You did go ahead and trade in...
