    2020 Begins

Probably not that significant now that Marshall is a ruck only but here's Ratten on how the Marshall/Ryder combination will work: "If we think history says Paddy's got an advantage over another ruckman and he's got a great record, we'll start him as first ruck. But if Rowan's got a good record...

    2020 Begins

Duncan actually did his knee in the first final against Collingwood and missed the next two finals. He was looking good to join full training around Christmas but then had minor surgery on his hip. It was Stewart who had problems with his groin. Both are in rehabilitation and hope to be ready by...

    2020 Begins

That's a tough one. Lyon's has been one of my "is he worth it" players after the way he finished off last season. In his 10 regular season games post-bye he averaged 116.5 - and that includes a 50 in rnd.16. In his 2 finals he averaged 120.5. At $535,400 Lyons is priced at a 98.6 average. If...

    2020 Begins

Is anyone else playing BBL? SC have made changes to the site, particularly to the "Gameday" screen. I really don't like the new one. The main Gameday page is dominated by League H-2-H match-up totals with match results in a right-hand side bar: When you click on a specific H-2-H you first have...

    2020 Begins

Thanks. Yeah, I'm back. Had a decent off-season. Kept my fantasy skills in practice with the NFL and BBL. I trust all is well with you and yours? I'm not quite ready for the AFL just yet but I'm dipping my toe - so to speak. Doing some preliminary number crunching. I usually only get serious...

I think Houston is getting a lot of attention because he was almost the no.1 CBA attendee for Port late last year. Here are his CBA attendance numbers and ranking among the Port mids: rnd.17 - DNP rnd.18 - 5, #6-> Lycett - 26, Boak - 22, R Gray - 19, Rockliff - 18 rnd.19 - 16, =#1->Boak - 16...

    2019 Finals Discussion

I thought it might be nice to have a place to post any thoughts, comments, reflections. whatever that occur during finals but not specifically limited to the finals. As a Sainter with no specific team to support in the finals I just hope that the team that plays the most attractive football...

    Round 23 anyone??

Congrat.s to everyone who has done well, Commiserations to those who have had a tough year. It wasn't too good a year for me. I had too many injuries to premiums. The last round pretty much exemplified my year: with no trades left I had Greene missing through injury and my bench player Chol not...

    Round 23 anyone??

Not quite. Grundy: 22 games, 2860 points. 130.0 av. Gawn: 21 games, 2696 points, 128.4 av. Considering Grundy and Gawn have finished a clear #1 and #2 for the 2nd year running you'd think "The Cox Curse" is well and truly broken.

    Round 23 anyone??

I'm in a GF in RDT with an opponent who bypassed Grundy to put the "vc" on Gawn and the "c" on Dunkley. With my "vc" on Grundy I thought I was doing well! What's most impressive is that Gawn did it against Goldy who's been in terrific form recently.

@M-Town Ballers Congrat.s on the GF win. You surely hung in there, didn't you? @Witz Wizards Well done on making the GF and commiserations on losing Final rankings: 1. M-Town Ballers 2. Witz Wizards 3. Sween's Machines 4. Olma FC 5. Stay Gold 6. Cavaliar Roundhead 7. Psychedelic Pandas 8...

    Round 23 anyone??

I'm pretty much done: no trades, out of all my leagues. All I can do now is use my bench to avoid any disastrous scores so my SCC Leagues don't suffer. But it's kinda liberating to watch footy without stressing over SC scores. @doddy2731 All the best for your 3 GFs.

    Round 22 Discussion and Trades

Marshall or Heeney. If Marshall is suffering no after-effects from his injury scare of last week he'd the obvious choice. That was his first sub-100 score since rnd.10. Carlton and Sydney look to be decent match-ups. Otherwise I think Heeney is a good bet. He's also got decent match-ups against...

    Round 22 Discussion and Trades

Walsh will probably go all right against the Saints this week but next week he has Geelong at GMHBA. Is that enough to off-set the Sloane->Dunkley gain? Walsh->Dunkley would be ideal but I assume you don't have the extra $45,000? Yeo can be up and down due to tagging. Worpel is in a somewhat...

    Round 22 Discussion and Trades

I brought in Greene and he's given me 107, 134 and 122. He's a great POD as he's still in only 11% of teams. Please don't break him.

    Round 22 Discussion and Trades

J Kelly is supposed to return this week. Which is welcome news for my team as he warmed my bench for the 5 weeks he was out. Which meant I was taking Clarke's scores - he averaged 65 so it could have been worse, I suppose. As Kelly is now in only 7% of teams I'm hoping he will go big and be a...

    Round 21 Discussion and Trades

For me it depends upon your bench cover. Walsh is scoring about 90ppg. Any trade up will likely net you 20-25 ppg. Over 3 games that is 75 points. If you have no bench cover then 1 x donut will likely cost you more than that, If you have bench cover then your rookie score could be anywhere from...

    Draft league?

I managed to finish 3rd on the head-to-head ladder but unsurprisingly lost both my finals. My team just isn't that good so I tried to stay competetive while stocking up on future stars. My rucks were stars, my backs were reasonable if without any real stars, my mids and forwards are mostly a...
