    Round 5 Discussion

I had the VC on Fyfe all week, then brought in Bont yesterday and pulled a stroke of genius by putting the VC on him only to cop his worst score of the year (sorry Bont owners, my fault!). Interesting about Higgins though. You wonder if it had been anyone else with a better injury history, if...

I saw that. Bit rough! On the plus side, if you do have to trade him after just 3 weeks then at least he's made you some decent cash first.

Take Dahl. Even when fit, the Saints are by far Dangers worst team. So much so that I've checked the C on Selwood instead.

I knew the risk I was taking by bringing Higgins in a couple of weeks ago but Jesus. It's like the Supercoach gods are just taking the piss now. He's left me with a donut up forward with both Hannan and Eddy not playing. I can trade Hannan to Aaron Black or Blake Hardwick but for the sake of...

Using my Gawn cash to go Taranto to Bont. Leaves me with Swallow and SPP on field in mids. Holding Roughy, don't think he's a keeper any more but I didn't expect Hawks to drop off so much. Hopefully he will have one or two decent games and get up to 450k, then he's an easy upgrade.

Ugh can't believe I picked him over Adams. This might be my last year with Heater I think. Early thoughts are Taranto to Bont this week. My team is full of inconsistency and underformers so it's time to go for the reliable types.

    Round 4 Discussion

Bloody hell, where to start? So many 50/50 preseason calls that went the wrong way. Shaw or Adams? Treloar or Pendles? Hanners or Rocky? Murphy or Beams? Gawn/Taranto or Witts/Bont? You can take one guess as to which choice I made on every single count. Even when trading Hanners out after...

    Round 4 Discussion

Ditched Hanners last week and won't be bringing him back. I have 3 elite mid positions to fill and at this stage I plan on them being Pendles, Bont and Rocky. The whole Sydney side look stuck in second gear. Its a huge form drop from a Grand Final side. Surely them and Hawthorn aren't doing...

That round 13 bye will be tricky with 3 of those missing. How will your other lines be looking that round?

Look at Sandi the same way as Witts. Will he be a ruck in your final team? Or are you aiming for a Grundy/Martin combo, or Gawn if and when he comes back? If you answered yes to any of those then don't get Sandi as you'll just have to burn another trade on him down the track.

Cash is points IMO. If you want to get someone who is still a little underpriced like a Murphy or Nank for example then do that. Upgrade JOM or someone to a premium mid like a Bont type. I'll be using my Gawn cash next week to turn Taranto into a premo. If you haven't got Newman yet then I'd...

    Round 3 Discussion

Haha I know @TomCat went with Murphy so she will be stoked. I had FBDs words from last weeks pod ringing in my ears when looking at Murph. Often starts with a big 100 or two and then goes 80, 60, 50, injured after that. Clearly Higgins is a much more reliable pick than that o_O

Gawn apparently more like 8-10 weeks now. Any thoughts of holding him and covering with Nank or Witts have gone.

Hanners to Higgins (instead of Murphy)... No regrets but week 1 didnt go well. Gawn. Jesus. Witts in I guess. Have left so many points on the bench so far this year. Missed Hannan round 1, Eddy round 2, Parfitt and Barrett round 3. And of course have managed to get all their 30s on field. 2120...

Murph and I have a long and checkered history. I've had Higgins twice and hes been good for me both times. Murph had hurt me before, I just couldn't go back there again. Hope we're both winners out of it!

Backing my gut and going with it. Hanners to Higgins via Taranto Strndica to WHE via Cameron Restructures my side and leaves WHE at F6 so hoping my forwards don't need touching until my absolute final upgrades in round 13. Playing Swallow, SPP and Taranto on field in mids which I'm fine with...

This so much. There's a possibility WHE could average low 90s and be a value keeper while you use other rookies and midpricers for your cash gen. If you can manage to get 5 of the top 7 forwards by years end and have WHE at F6 busting out 90s then you'll be in pretty good shape. Not sure hes...
