I've missed a lot of the selection carnage so far... But if Selwood and Treloar are out, Pendles plays half a game and Swallow is already missing, my light benches will have no chance to cover so many holes.
The fact that Berry had 3 very ordinary games, kept his spot and now has moved into a more on all role is a good sign. Definitely considering.
Also looking at Swallow to Yeo with the view to flick him forward during the byes. He looks a lock for a top 6 forward now. Which means as soon as I...
Same. I plan on holding Swallow and SPP through the byes. Warm bodies at worst, solid scores at best. Will finish off my other lines during the byes and plan to come out of round 13 with a double midfield upgrade... And not many trades left!
Interesting post from Fantasy Freako...
JPK averaged 102 between rounds 1-7 last year, then 119 for the rest of the reason. He is currently averaging 100. History repeating...?
What do we think the top 8 mids look like?
Danger, Sloane, Bont, Pendles, Selwood, Rockliff, then take 2 of Merrett, Neale, Titchell, Hannebery, Priddis, Cripps, and Ablett?
Given recent primo form I think it's a safe bet.
I rolled the dice and went with Bont over Danger and Selwood. First time I've ever seen Bont get scaled down I reckon!
My season is going to hell in a handbasket so I might double up next week and get him in for Otten, and sideways Treloar to Rocky when he bottoms out. I'll keep you posted
I'll make sure I give fair notice to everyone as to which primo I'm trading in on a weekly basis. So far this year my upgrades have been Higgins (60ish first week in), Bont (88) and Pendles today. Might have to target Adams, Docherty and Yeo to slow them down a bit!
Newman being left out has made me rethink my plans. Was dropping Hampton to EVW and Beams to Pendles, but with Newman and Stewart both not playing, it means Ive got EVW on field this week against Adelaide, for what... 40points maybe? Not sure why Horse keeps dropping Newman. He has to play the...
I would be going Parsons if I could. Looks like he has that spot sewn up for now.
I'd love to get him in but being Fwd only restricts me. I have Hannan and Eddy forward, and Hannan is covering Nank this week. He also hasn't made enough yet to justify a trade. I could get tricky and go Hampton...
This is where I'm at. I think by year's end, you'll need to have Shaw, Doc, Laird and Adams, and possibly Roberton if this keeps up. Any 2 of the likes of Tuohy, Hibberd, Howe, Simpson (I'm sure I'm forgetting someone) to finish off the 6, but there's not much room for error down back.
A lot of the poor scores aren't necessarily unique players. I've got a lot of league games where 7 or 8 of my worst scores are shared players so it might not be as bad as we think.
That said I've still had an absolute mare and won't crack 2000.
