With the lack of mids and big bodies in the Dogs midfield, I'm hoping Smith plays more of an inside mid role over the next few weeks. He definitely played a lot further up the ground in the second half last night which accounts for the better scoring. Dahlhaus will probably be the same. Reckon...

I've seen him mentioned as this year's Aaron Hall. Its entirely possible. Given the carnage so far I'm playing it safe with all my trades from now.

He did but all 3 emergencies travelled as well. The official line is that rain is expected so they may go in with one ruck instead of 2 or go for bigger bodies instead of pace. You wouldn't think they would name McVeigh and fly him across the country if he wasn't a certainty to play.

From a SC perspective it's going to be hard to do anything with him in one trade. Will be priced around 390k. Might have to wait and see how things play out over the week but I can see myself having to put Libba and one of Hall or Collins together to go for a big fish for week 1 of finals.

His ankle got caught in a tackle and bent back on itself. Apparently it's called sydnemosis or something, Its the same thing Marc Murphy has. Best case is 4 weeks but he will be lucky to play at all again this year. Shocking luck for the Doggies. He was clearly BOG up til that point too.

The boys spent a little bit of time on this on the podcast. You may gain 80 points over the next 5 weeks. What happens if (for example) Goldy is rested for a week or two and you have no cover and no trades? You lose 200 points in 2 weeks. That's a much bigger deal than picking up 80 points...

Haha thanks. There was some dumb luck behind it but some solid reasoning too. I picked Smith as a loophole R3 in the hope that if Stef went down or was rested that he would be getting a game at some stage. Completely forgot that Trent West was on their list when I did it but the logic behind it...

I want Zerrett because he doesn't look like slowing down, which I thought he would. I won't do it in 2 trades though. Lynch highly likely to come in for me.
