    2018 Mid-Price Breakouts & Stepping Stones

Definitely worth a look. I'm going with Coniglio at a similar price but go with your gut on this one. If he can get back to a 105 avg from that price then it's a win.

    2018 Rookies

He's my #1 high priced rookie. I've got him above Dow, Rayner and Brodie. Should get plenty of opportunity in that midfield too.

    2018 Midfield Premiums

It was against Collingwood. 2 weeks earlier he copped a heavy knock against Hawthorn from Roughy and was quietish. From memory he was struggling with chest pain for 2 to 3 weeks afterwards. A week later against the Saints he scored well but only because of a couple of late goals and a big last...

    2018 Mid-Price Breakouts & Stepping Stones

The podcast was done before the weekends JLT where Bell was a standout and Bundy not so much. It's a tough one. I like them both but not sure if I want 2 sub 300k guys up forward, from a team that will finish bottom 4.

Heard a strong rumour regarding Tex and that pesky plantar fascia...would explain a lot.

    2018 Forward Premiums

I'm getting nowhere working out who to actually select. So maybe the better exercise is to select who we think will be the top 6 scoring players (not averaging... Greene and JJK will average up there but miss too many games). In no order : Heeney, Buddy, Menegola, Smith, Billings, Walters...

    2018 Rookies

Same. I don't have Coniglio but I would have to either drop Cripps from M5 or my 400k F4 or D4 to find the cash for the higher priced rookies. Would rather splash out for decent JS than go cheap and have 117k kids sitting on the bench doing nothing after playing the first week or two.

    2018 Mid-Price Breakouts & Stepping Stones

Goddammit Sicily. He is one of my most disldisl players in the league...but he looked good today and is playing a SC friendly role. The price is right at 402k but he's fighting Hanley for a spot in my back line.

IMO he's only worthwhile if he's rucking solo until the bye. I don't know for sure but I think Lobb is only looking like missing the first week or two. You'd hate to have Simpson at R2 only for him to be dropped in round 4 once Lobb is back in. More headaches than what it's worth for mine.

    2018 Rookies

Coffield (171k mid/def) and Clark (175k mid) looked good tonight for the Saints... Just wonder if they'll play come the season proper. For the extra 60k outlay, you would want them to be first 22 and playing every week for at least the first 6-7 weeks.

    2018 Rookies

I put Setterfield in my side last week, was really looking forward to seeing what he could do. Shattered for him.

    2018 Defence Premiums

Yeo and Hurley worry me. One year of premium scoring making them the top 2 priced picks on the line sounds dangerous. Laird and Hibberd are my only locks. I think i may look for value after that. Shaw went onto my "never again" list last year but he is an option. If Hanley can stay fit and run...

I think as round 1 gets closer, a lot of people will go cold on Nicnat and be scrambling to find an extra 50k-80k to fill that R2 spot. Im running with a Gawn-stein combo at the moment and it doesn't look too bad. I think Goldy bottomed out last year so he can only get better. With the lack of...

Over the years there's been enough DPP or bench rucks that I've looked at and thought "nah, they won't play, everyone's getting sucked in" and avoided them. These have included Gawn, Stef Martin, Mason Cox and Nicnat early on in their careers when their selections were make or break. That said...

I've been watching way too much of Geelong's preseason training.... I've just put Gaz at M2. And it looks good.

Team : The Awesomeness SCC leagues 2017 : can't remember all (was in about 5) but included Earlybirds, Patrons (Patreon #2), and SCC#2 Rankings : 2016 and 17 - 10k-ish, worst 2 years in ages. 2009-2015 all above 2k with a high of 520.

    Coach Kings

Yep... Agreed. The SC analysis was fine, a few left field things from time to time, but you were guaranteed a laugh or 3 as well. I listened to the podcast released this week, and the new guys definitely need time to grow into it. I'm sure they'll find their groove but it's not a "must listen"...

This is the same question every year. People start without the top priced player, then need to burn at least 2 trades to get him in when he's had one bad score... But miss out on all the other 130+ scores along the way. I don't see Dusty carrying on with last year's form. Just a gut feel...

    Overall rankings and Tyrannosaurus Tex...?

TT is part of the SCC group and ended up coming second overall. Huge effort! Just wondering if TT is active in the forum's or has any idea who they are? The Big Kabosh took out overall comfortably. Got to #1 in round 8 and ran away with it. There's an article on Superfooty today about him...
