    Round 3 Discussion and Trades

I'm only moving him on because I have no other issues... and a little bit of Rocky envy. I think at worst he averages 105 which makes him an easy upgrade, and not the worst to hang onto for the time being. I had hoped for some value and a 115 avg, but it looks like that role of 2017 was a one...

    Round 3 Discussion and Trades

This is my situation, but with Dusty instead of Mills. Took a risk on skipping Lloyd and waiting for him to drop but it won't happen any time soon and each week I don't have him, he's costing me points. Dusty and Heeney for Rocky and Lloyd. On my projections it should increase my points on...

Would hold tight on Balta. Surely with their bookends out he gets another look

    Round 2 trades

Also worth noting, an idea floated on Twitter this morning. If Riewoldt misses substantial time with his wrist injury, Dusty will most probably spend more time forward. If Rocky looks good again this week, I'm jumping on the train.

    Round 2 trades

Dusty is on very thin ice. Wasn't great last week and junked up to a ton. I know Greenwood is a SC killer but still... I don't think he's a top 8 mid.

    Round 2 trades

Definitely taking a second look. But he'll be on the bench this week.

    Yep. And VC.

    Post your team

Pretty cookie cutter really. Toyed with a few different midfield structures and decided to leave Macrae out, which I'm really not confident about. But that allowed me up upgrade an onfield rookie to Libba. Pretty happy with the scoring capacity of my 7 starting rookies, plus Moore and Libba as...

    Midfielders

Sounds like we have made very similar moves! JKelly was one of my first picked but moved him to MCrouch once some doubts crept in. I still have TK at F3... as it stands I'll be a forward short for that bye round but hoping to be able to cover it on other lines or via DPP. I've just got a...

    Midfielders

I hate that I'm doing this, but... Today I took Macrae and a rookie out of my team and replaced them with Brad Crouch and Rocky. And I don't hate it. It puts Walsh and Butters in M7/8. Last minute changes are always dangerous so I'll most likely end up changing it back. But......

If Zac Clarke is named, do we find an extra 40k to put him at R3? If only he was DPP!

He's the number 1 player in SC for a reason. He may come down a little but he won't come down to 550k or anything. He killed me last season too and I'm not missing those 170 scores this year. Has a very high basement score too.

    Forwards

Re : Tim Kelly, he was interviewed by the Geelong Advertiser this week and said something like: "Last year I was split 50/50 between forward line and midfield. I've done a lot of work over the preseason and the plan is that I spend a lot more time in the midfield this season" He's been sitting...

Agreed! I've struggled with it but I'm going in without Laird this year. Too much value in the backline to ignore.

I've got Moore at F4, with Burgess at F8. If Moore stays fit I'm happy to hang onto him for the year to use his DPP, as there doesn't seem to be many useful links this year. I've only been able to push him to F4 by going skinny down back, with Collins at D4 and 3 rookies on field. Defence...

That's exactly my setup at the moment. Danger, Heeney, Kelly then kids. Plenty of forward rookies floating around this year. Playing 3 on field and 2 defence rookies should allow extra cash to splash out on the midfield.

Ah crap. I'm gonna get sucked in again aren't I?

He also had a role change and was moved forward, with Dunkley taking his mid time. It's a lucky dip with those two guys. Every week, one will score 100 and the other will score 70.

    Midfielders

I've been really tempted to take the risk in not starting Fyfe. Love the guy but he just can't string together 22 games. The thing is, with Dangers DPP, it opens up some options to have a strong bench player in either fwds or mids to bring on for when Fyfe inevitably misses. Still some playing...

    Pre-season 2019 - Burning Down the House

Really liking the look of Kelly. I'm not a fan of having 2 players from the same club on the same line around bye time, but with DPP we should be able to make it work. I had the same 3 forwards as you but Wingard is a huge red flag for me now.
