Any Adelaide supporters in here tell if he ever played No1 ruck? Looks like even at VFL level he's played second fiddle, reminds me a lot of Stef Martin in that his ruck work is solid but it's the way he gets around the ground that's super impressive.

Somewhere in time
SMack played as a key forward interchanging as 2nd ruck while at the Crows.
He is a player who would turn it on for a quarter and look brilliant and then fade out and do nothing for the rest of the game.
Has plenty of unrealised potential but is inconsistent and at times looked lazy. Don't know if that was a fitness issue but he looked strong and reasonably quick for a big man.
Can do some stupid, undisciplined acts as well that cost free kicks & or 50m penalties.

Crows supporter. No info on him but I traded him in for bellch at the last minute for lack of a better idea. Happy so far!

I got him in to avoid a donut and cover F/R injuries. Happy with his start as well. Particularly happy that he seemed to be consistent across the 4 qtrs. Also happy with 21 possies and 5 marks - good numbers for a ruck.
Not happy with only 18 hitouts.

With Crows he never really got a good go as ruck. Only year he played many games was 2011 when he played 16. But he was only 20 yrs old and up against Jacobs, Maric and Tippett.

I'm thinking/hoping that as main ruck for Bombers his scoring may be rather different.

I'm thinking of trading Dumont to him via Steele. Much cheaper than Gawn and his JS would be better as he has no competition. If he can average 75 from here then I'd take that as cover.

I reckon he can keep up an 80 average, assuming he doesn't get reported or injuried he should keep his spot for a while, but we are relying on him to get 20 touches a game though as he only looks a serviceable ruck pretty short and doesn't have a great leap also has to play the best rucks other than Sandi for the rest of the season.

he had 44% of his hitouts go to advantage on the weekend out of his 18 hitouts... that's more % to advantage than Sandilands, Goldstein and Nic Nat average I'm not sure he'll keep that up but definitely able to average around 80 for the season, he plays Saints and Melbourne next up so will atleast score well in the short term

I can't get him in my team, just doesn't work for me so maybe I'm just doubting him to make myself feel better haha

Carlisle is now out for 4-6 weeks... Mckernan is another step closer to getting a call up to The Awesomeness this week.

That HOTA is good to know. Thanks.
Do you know where I could get those figures each week? Be helpful.

True. I just wonder what role he will play with Carlisle out and whether or not it will be as lucrative as the number 1 ruck role.
Do you think Giles has already had his card stamped as never to play? Surely he wouldve come in before now. The knock on him is that he doesn't cover the ground well enough to rack up the stats. They wouldn't bring him in and play mckernan forward if that's still their worry.

It would be a pain if Giles came in and ended up performing better than McKernan.

I brought McKernan in for his 2nd game as i had no other options and was desperate for the last bye round (needed a downgrade for Tarrant)
Plays well, and looks good around the ground. I expect him to get another crack this weekend. Fingers crossed he gets another 90+ score to hold off Giles. Important to note that McKernan has the opportunity before Giles. I wouldnt have guessed that at seasons start
