The dude from WB whose name I can't even remember

No good options but anyone got an idea of how to pick between the bad options?

Bailey Dale is the name you're after. Been sub in both games, did some nice things but light frame and JS very shaky.

It's lucky Dale hasn't been playing in the wind because he would struggle to stay on the ground, he'd look like a piece of rubbish wrapped around the goal post flapping away!

With the byes coming up you won't want to carry a non-playing rookie through those rounds. The trick to the byes is getting > 18 players scoring so you can avoid the really low score(s). So if you current benches look solid I think it could be better to wait out better downgrade options and largely stick with your team as it currently is until the byes start. I'd get Rocky in someway or other though.

Makes perfect sense but for me Tarrant, Lonie and one or two others are just going to bleed money, where'as I'm happy to roll the dice on Cripps, Oxley and the like to hit high BEs some of these rookies just can't do it.

I hope some rookies blossom soon cos there are no downgrade options around the byes, maybe Hugh Goddard gets a run with fisher doing his hammy on the weekend?

Hoping this Steele kid can get some games for GWS, The other Kolo from Geelong should be playing soon but he'll just be covering rests for Rivers, Lonergan, Taylor

Mitch Wallis ($325k)
Thought I'd bring him up after listening to the podcast.
BE of 30.
Scores 97, 110, 15 (injury), 47, 115.
New role with Liba out for season. Could ave 100 for the season.
Put in downgrade thread as seriously thinking of Cripps - Wallis. Will make $107k, I'll then go CEY - Sidebottom (need a POD). My midfield will be complete with Wallis M9, cover Sloane while injured and through byes. Then he will either be mid bench cover or downgrade him later when he is $450-500k.
Thoughts?

It's as good as any other idea at the moment. The lack of rookies is really making us think outside the box, which sometimes is a good thing, but damn it'd still be nice making 200k rather than 100k. If you can use as you plan too it may just pay off, but would you want a player worth $450-500k sitting on your bench as cover while you wait for a rookie is the other question?

Certainly a flawed plan. Main reason being lack of cash generation from arguably the two fattest rooks this year. Especially with CEY not topped out yet - will probably reach $400k and be good bye cover for R12 and 13. Also Glenn on the bubble and only a week or two away and Biggs on the bubble next week with already one full game and a score of 70. Wallis on bench could be a master stroke if the inevitable resting happens at the end of the season, or could be a flop and impact on my upgrading on other lines!! Will think on it..

Can anyone think of a "left of centre" option for trading down Lumumba geez I'm even contemplating non playing rooks and bloody Shane Savage...

What do you guys think of Liam Duggan from WCE as a downgrade? Played as sub first few games but looks to have good JS now. Coming off a 97 last week. $220k with a BE of 7. Has a round 13 bye so I'm thinking of downgrading to him and then upgrade him to a premium at round 13 (hope to make about 100k) Thoughts???
